Our History
Since its founding in 1974, our company, Palatina, has continued to evolve—from close industrial collaboration to becoming an independent, internationally networked insurance partner.
1974
Palatina Versicherungsservice GmbH was founded with Klein Pumpen GmbH (90%) and Ehrhardt & Sehmer GmbH (10%) as shareholders; first managing director: Ludwig Müller.
1974
Signing of the first service contract with KSB SE & Co. KGaA—a close and trusting partnership that continues to this day.
1981
Hans-Otto Geiger assumed management of the company, and Klein Pumpen GmbH acquired all of the company’s shares.
2011
Gerhard Bugla took over as managing director, and the company expanded its business activities through the integration of Print Assekuranz GmbH (the in-house broker of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG).
2017
Change of the company name from Klein Pumpen GmbH to Johannes und Jacob GmbH.
2011 – present
Continuous expansion of the customer base and development of new industrial insurance solutions.
2023
Borris Yauschew takes over as CEO and continues the company’s successful strategy, focusing on customer proximity, responsibility, and expertise.
